In comparison with low-end Asus laptops, firmware of this, uh, Elite computer does not seem to be well-engineered.

• BIOS tries to parse MS-DOS partition tables (which is not its business) and if it cannot find a partition with a bootable flag, it halts boot with a generic unhelpful error.
• When battery gauge reports < 7 %, the system is woken up despite all wake up vectors being disabled. (the intention is that the OS will suspend to disk to prevent data loss) This feature cannot be turned off. So it's impossible to suspend with a broken battery gauge.
• When battery gauge reports low, the system cannot be powered up, despite it is just a broken gauge and the battery is in fact fully charged.
